CV Upload Option & Application Form Parsing

A new update to the ATS allows you to configure on a role by role basis if candidates can upload a CV as part of their application form. You may have roles where a CV is not required, but as the application form requires a CV to be uploaded as part of the process, candidates may feel put off from applying. Now you can toggle enabling a CV to be uploaded for a role on or off depending on the position.

 

When adding or editing a job, on the General section there is an option called "Allow candidates to upload their CV for this role?"

 

Switching this on will then allow the candidate to upload their CV in the pre-application stage of the application form (more details on that below...). Selecting No will mean that a candidate will not have the option to upload a CV when applying and will just complete the application form only.

 

 

CV Parsing Update

 

If the upload CV option is selected, then within the pre-application form, candidates will be asked to upload their CV, and their application form will then have fields filled in based on the details contained within their CV.

 

 

When moving into the main application form section, the new parsing software will allow the candidate to have the following details auto-filled in for them (if they are contained within their CV):

 

Contact Telephone Number(s)

Address Details

Education History

Employment History

Training Course History

 

Below shows an example of how the education details from a CV would be pre-filled within an application form:

 

 

The choice of which fields are mandatory to complete in this section can be configured with our Technical Support team, and the label names for each field can be updated too. Any fields that are missing from the candidate's CV can be updated by them, and if there are any details missing from the CV that they uploaded to the application form, such as part of their work history or a qualification, they can quickly add these in via the "Add record" button available at the bottom of the section.

 

 

Alternatively, if there is a record that they would like to remove from their application form that was pre-filled in from their CV, candidates will have the option to delete this with the "Delete record" button.

 

 

Within the applicant viewer page, the Education details would be visible and displayed as shown below:
