Updating Applicant Statuses

The ATS allows you to update applicant's statuses depending on if you wish to proceed or reject an applicant. Status updates are an important part of our ATS as they allow you to do the following:

- Keep track of where applicants are in the recruitment process.

- Trigger actions such as automatic emails to applicants.

They also help with reporting as you move applicants through the ATS. The system records whether they were shortlisted / interviewed / offered / hired etc.

To update an applicant's status, from the Applicant Viewer screen click on the status at the top of the screen.

From this screen a list of the statuses that applicants can be placed to will appear. Depending upon your recruitment workflow, you can choose to progress applicants through to interview stage or reject their application.

Please note: Some statuses have the words (auto email) at the end of them. These statuses will send the applicant an email updating them on the status of their application.

The ATS also allows you to bulk update applicants statuses. For more information on this, visit the article on "Bulk Status Updates".
